The challenge

In order to deliver precise and real time information to their clients, the company needs to use different equipments, collecting an amount of data of different nature.

To create the best experience to the user, is important to show the data collected from these several devices in a coherent and concise interface, allowing the farmer to manage the vineyard in a easy and reliable way.

The solution

The team decided that a mobile application was the best way to manage this information, because the farmer would have the vineyard data available everywhere and anytime, including in the middle of the field.

So, the understanding was that the application needed to show tables, maps, charts and keep the data history. besides that, the application needed to provide real time alerts to the user in the case of something wrong is happening on the farm.

The process

Benchmark: competitor’s applications analysis to collect insights from them.

Definition: decide the hierarchy between the features that could be developed and prioritize them considering the relevance for the clients and the feasibility on development.

Interface: lo-fi and mid-fi prototypes creation to understand the possibilities of data visualization.

Prototype: hi-fi prototype design and user tests before implementation by the development team.
