The challenge

The community had already existed for almost a year, without a specific name, when the group understood that it was necessary to create a visual identity that symbolized the institution and that could communicate its principles, values and operation philosophy to society.

As there was already an institutional culture in formation, an organizational climate survey was carried out with the aim of mapping the feelings of the people who made up that group in relation to the activities they carried out in the church.

Therefore, an open and qualitative questionnaire was created where people could freely write about their feelings regarding the community. After tabulating and analyzing the data, there were elements that could support the concept and visual identity.

The solution

The keywords most cited by people were welcoming, love and the word of God. This way, a starting point for creating a visual identity was identified.

During the benchmark research, it was understood that the inspiration for the symbol should come from biblical passages and events. In this way, the fish element was chosen, as it represents growth, multiplication and the human being himself, as a creature of God, as in the story where Jesus Christ said he would make Peter a men’s fisherman.

Thus, metaphorically, the fish symbolizes a member of the religious community which, in the Iboa symbol, represents at the same time, the welcoming by being grouped together, the love by forming a heart, and the word of God that invites the Christian to be a fisherman. of men.
